The Opportunity:
Scope of the Position
Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, the Financial Analyst role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong experience in financial planning and analysis. This position plays a key role in supporting business performance through advanced financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis. The role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making and improve financial outcomes across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights for leadership.
Lead the preparation and enhancement of monthly management reporting packages for operations, branch leaders, and department heads.
Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis.
Provide in-depth financial analysis on business units, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decisions.
Partner with Sales, Operations, and other functions to understand business drivers and align financial plans with operational goals.
Prepare and analyze weekly cash flow forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Support the full budgeting and forecasting cycle, including variance analysis and performance tracking against KPIs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation of reports, enhancement of tools, and process efficiencies.
Support audit and year-end activities in collaboration with the accounting team.
Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as required to support business priorities.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
CPA designation (or actively pursuing with strong progress) is preferred.
4–6+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis or FP&A (required to align with a more senior profile).
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and full budgeting cycles.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and data management practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas); experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience presenting insights to leadership.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
What we offer:
The target salary range for this position is
$70,000 - $82,000 CAD
. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
