A career in PwC’s Finance Transformation practice enables collaboration with CFOs, VPs Finance, Controllers, and Finance Transformation leaders to fundamentally improve how finance functions operate, deliver insight, and support decision‑making. As a Senior Manager, you lead large‑scale, technology‑enabled finance transformations, with a strong focus on Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), advanced analytics, and AI‑enabled finance capabilities. You support clients in translating strategic ambition into measurable outcomes by driving transformation from vision and operating model definition through execution and value realization. The Opportunity You will lead organizations in defining their finance vision and operating model, aligning governance and processes with business priorities by optimizing core finance functions through automation and AI. As a trusted advisor, you architect and deliver scalable EPM solutions (OneStream, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, SAP EPM) that connect business strategy, data, and technology, ensuring sustainable results while providing expert guidance to senior executives and advancing PwC’s AI‑enabled Finance Transformation offerings. Lead complex, multi‑workstream Finance Transformation engagements across the full lifecycle from diagnostic and design through implementation and stabilization. Serve as overall engagement lead or EPM solution lead, accountable for delivery quality, timelines, outcomes, and value realization. Design and lead finance diagnostics to assess maturity, identify pain points, and uncover improvement opportunities across core finance domains, while also defining target operating models –including process design, governance, RACI, data ownership, and enabling technology. Lead clients through vendor/software selection and full technology implementation, ensuring scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with long‑term finance transformation goals. Partner with Directors and Partners to manage engagement risk, monitor financial performance, and uphold contractual commitments, ensuring project delivery remains aligned with objectives and PwC quality standards. Define, monitor, and control project scope, assumptions, dependencies, and change management; proactively identify, elevate, and resolve risks and challenges, including resourcing issues and client dependencies, while serving as a senior escalation point for stakeholders and internal teams. Drive timely decision‑making and issue resolution, ensuring all deliverables are clear, coherent, executive‑ready, and consistently meet PwC’s standards for quality. Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior finance leaders, serving as a long‑term advisor on their transformation strategies and providing clear, actionable recommendations on leading practices in finance transformation—including process standardization, automation, governance, analytics, and AI‑enabled capabilities—tailored for executive and board‑level audiences. Cultivate a robust network across the finance transformation ecosystem by engaging clients, technology vendors, and the PwC network to drive innovation and market growth. Own and expand the Finance Transformation and EPM revenue pipeline nationally and locally across industries, from opportunity identification through close, by shaping and leading priority pursuits –including solution strategy, client positioning, commercial structuring, and proposal development—in close collaboration with Partners and account teams; identify, qualify, and convert follow‑on and long‑term transformation opportunities to support sustained account growth. Design and develop differentiated, value‑led transformation offerings that integrate Finance strategy, EPM, data, and AI capabilities to address client priorities and drive revenue growth; create and scale Finance Transformation points of view, accelerators, and methodologies, while collaborating across PwC lines of service to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end transformation programs. Coach, mentor, and develop Finance Transformation professionals across functional, technical, and delivery areas by actively shaping staffing, career progression, and performance management, leading recruitment, onboarding, and retention to build strong, high‑performing teams and ensure the right skills are matched to engagements. Lead the development and scaling of Finance Transformation capabilities and offerings—especially AI‑enabled finance, EPM, ERP, finance operations, and emerging technologies by sharing leading practices, lessons learned, and intellectual capital across PwC Canada and the global network. What You’ll Bring 8 to 10 years of consulting experience leading major Finance Transformation and EPM projects, including design, implementation, and value realization. Deep hands‑on expertise in one or more leading EPM platforms, such as OneStream, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, or SAP EPM. Strong grounding across core finance domains, particularly FP&A / Performance Management (planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, analytics, executive reporting) and Record‑to‑Report (financial close, consolidation, statutory and management reporting). Strong AI and advanced analytics capabilities applied to Finance. Broad Finance Transformation expertise, including Finance diagnostics and maturity assessments, Finance operating model and organizational design, Controls, governance, and transformation leading practices. Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs, effectively overseeing risks, dependencies, and executive stakeholder relationships while providing strategic guidance and trusted advisory support. Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex finance, technology topics into clear, executive‑ready messages. Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high‑performing teams, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and people’s development—creating inclusive, high‑engagement environments. MBA and/or CPA designation is an asset. EPM platform certifications and hands‑on implementation experience are a strong plus. Fluency in English, and French proficiency for supporting English‑speaking clients and stakeholders during the course of employment with PwC Canada. The salary range for this position is $168,000 - $218,000. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements.
