Monarch Recovery Services is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join its team. Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will oversee the full financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective financial management. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution across accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and internal controls, while providing timely insights to support organizational decision-making.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial reporting
Lead the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Monitor cash flow and ensure effective financial planning and controls
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliations
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage all government remittances
Lead year-end processes, including audit preparation and coordination with external auditors
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
Oversee the administration of employee benefits and related financial programs
Supervise and support finance and payroll staff, providing guidance and oversight
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Maintain financial policies, internal controls, and reporting systems
Provide financial analysis and insights to support leadership decision-making
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA designation (or in progress) strongly preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience
Proven experience overseeing full-cycle accounting and payroll functions
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Experience working in a non-profit, healthcare, or publicly funded environment is an asset
Proficiency with accounting systems (Sage 300 preferred) and advanced Excel skills
Experience with MS365 Teams and SharePoint
Experience with payroll systems and government remittances
