Job DescriptionJob Description My client is one of Canada's most experienced and largest elevator consulting firms, offering expertise in elevators, escalators, lifts, and dumbwaiters. Our team consists of Professional Engineers, Certified Elevator Inspectors, and Elevating Device Mechanics with extensive experience in the industry. With offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, and Saint John, we provide national support and serve a wide range of clients. Inspecting over 1,000 elevating units annually, we bring unparalleled knowledge and insights into addressing the operational and financial needs of building owners. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Field Inspector, based in Ottawa, ON. In this role, the Field Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, assessing the safety and operational efficiency of elevating devices, and preparing detailed inspection reports. The role also involves collaborating with consultants and team members to ensure compliance with relevant safety codes and regulations. Regular site visits, communication with clients, and occasional travel may be required. Qualifications Technical skills in engineering concepts or mechanics relevant to elevating devices Experience preparing thorough inspection reports and documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with clients and team members Attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site inspections as necessary Previous experience in elevating device mechanisms, provincial safety inspections, or equipment installation is an asset however we will train for elevator specifics Candidates holding certifications such as Elevating Device Mechanic or Certified Elevator Inspector are preferred Company DescriptionW3Global was established in 2006 in Fremont, CA with a vision: simplify the recruiting process and develop an industry-disrupting platform to connect candidates with clients.
