Overview
Work Location: On site – Melita Health Centre (147 Summit Ave, Melita, MB R0M 1L0). No option to work remotely.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends.
Daily Hours Worked: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Position Type: Fee for service.
Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if desired.
Position Summary
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Melita Health Centre. Duties include performing all duties associated with a family practice, diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, acting as the primary care provider and providing continuous care toward the management of patients’ health.
Melita Health Centre is a 10-bed acute care and a 20-bed long-term care facility. Services offered include Diagnostic, Home Care, Public Health, and Mental Health.
Credentials
Doctor of Medicine degree.
Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
Member of CMPA or proof of equivalent malpractice insurance.
Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
Physical and mental capacity to meet job demands.
Respect for confidentiality in paper, electronic and other formats.
Good work and attendance record.
Experience and Specialization
Family Physician specialization.
Security and Safety
Maintain satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check as appropriate.
All health care workers must be immunized as a condition of employment per Prairie Mountain Health policy.

Additional Information
