Seeking a BC Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-| Behavioral Health to work as a Medical H&P Hospitalist. 7on/7off block schedule, 10-hour shift, Full-time, benefits eligible. Initial Medical admissions evaluations & H&Ps, follow ups, diagnostics and discharges for ages 5+. Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs. Comanage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers. Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
Experience:
Prior clinical experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred; behavioral health experience a plus.
New graduates with relevant clinical training and strong interest in behavioral health will be considered.
Licensure: Active Alaska Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant license or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
Education: Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
Certification: AANPCB, ANCC, or NCCPA board certification.
