We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join a growing legal team in a full-time capacity.
The firm is a full-service law practice specializing in Personal Injury, Estate Litigation, Insurance Disputes, Employment Law, Real Estate and Business Law, Contract Disputes, Property Disputes, Debt Collection, Residential Tenancy Disputes, and First Nations law. The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Lawyer to join the legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Family Law and a passion for advocating for clients in matters such as divorce, child custody, and adoption.
Representing clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, and adoption
Negotiating settlements and agreements to achieve favorable outcomes
Drafting legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements
Conducting legal research to support case strategy and client advice
Communicating clearly with clients regarding legal processes and outcomes
Maintaining accurate case files in compliance with legal standards and firm policies
Staying current with developments in family law and best practices
The Experience You Bring
Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
Minimum 2 years of family law practice experience
Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a collegial, team-oriented environment
