As a Facilities Technician, you'll take ownership of the systems, buildings, and grounds that keep Brentwood Bay Resort running smoothly. From preventative maintenance to solving unexpected challenges, your work has a direct impact on both our guests' experience and our team's success. You'll work across our boutique oceanfront resort, supporting guest rooms, restaurants, spa, marina, pools, hot tubs, saunas, back-of-house facilities, and beautiful outdoor spaces. What you'll do Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the resort Diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building systems Maintain pools, hot tubs, and saunas, including water quality and equipment maintenance Monitor mechanical, heating, ventilation, and electrical systems Respond promptly to guest and team maintenance requests Complete work orders and maintain accurate records using our maintenance management system Support landscaping, seasonal property maintenance, snow removal, and exterior upkeep Work alongside contractors to ensure projects are completed safely and to Resort standards Contribute to facility improvement projects that enhance efficiency and extend the life of Resort assets What you'll bring Two or more years of facilities, building maintenance, or hospitality maintenance experience Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance software Commitment to workplace safety and WorkSafeBC standards Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year A positive, dependable, team-first attitude What's in it for you Competitive hourly wage of $27.50–$30.50, based on experience Extended health and dental benefits after three months Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Ongoing learning and opportunities for career growth Complimentary hotel stays Friends & Family hotel discounts 50% off meals while working Discounts on spa treatments and retail products A collaborative team that genuinely enjoys working together An award-winning workplace recognized as Outstanding Workplace of the Year At Brentwood Bay Resort, we know diverse experiences build strong teams.
