Facilities Attendant Temporary Part-Time J0626-0639 The Town of New Tecumseth is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Facilities Attendant to join our rapidly growing team. Why work with us? What we promise: competitive salaries optional OMERS pension plan professional development opportunities Reporting to the Supervisor, Facilities & Property and working under the guidance of the Senior Facilities Operator, this position supports the overall facilities maintenance/cleanliness during the winter season. How you contribute to our organization: Facility Maintenance & Cleaning- Assists with facility maintenance including cleaning and disinfecting of high traffic areas such as washrooms, changing rooms, and lobby areas. Duties also include emptying garbage, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning arena glass Event Support- Assists with set up and take down of tables and chairs for event at halls. Ice Surface Maintenance- Moves hockey nets and assists with ice maintenance as directed. Equipment Operation -Operates light duty equipment safely, always wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Reporting & Documentation- Reports in writing any damages of a serious nature to the immediate Supervisor. Ensures daily activity log and financial records are completed and submitted in a timely manner. Corporate Compliance- Adheres to all corporate competencies, values, policies and procedures at all times. What you bring to the team: Must be at least 14 years old. Some prior work experience is preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and be able to communicate with the public, including the ability to deal with difficult situations in a respectful and diplomatic manner. Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and have legible handwriting. Wage : $18.07-18.97, plus 4% vacation pay and optional enrolment in OMERS pension plan Hours: Up to 24 hours per week as required shifts will vary and will be as required, no guarantee of hours.
