Job DescriptionJob Description Job Description AVL Landscape & Design is hiring an experienced hardscape installer to join our landscape construction crew. We are looking for a reliable and skilled individual with at least three years of hardscape installation experience. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, works well with a team and can complete projects safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Install interlocking stone for driveways, patios and walkways Build retaining walls and landscape steps Install natural stone and precast landscape products Excavate and prepare proper gravel bases Complete grading, compaction and bedding preparation Operate construction tools and equipment safely Maintain a clean and organized job site Work effectively with crew members and supervisors Qualifications Minimum three years of hardscape installation experience Experience with interlock, retaining walls, steps and natural stone Ability to read landscape drawings Knowledge of proper excavation, grading and base preparation Comfortable using construction tools and equipment Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation to work Physically capable of performing landscape construction work Dependable, punctual and hardworking Strong attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a crew Compensation Starting at $25 per hour , with higher pay available depending on experience and skill level. Work Location Projects are located throughout York Region and surrounding areas, including Aurora, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham and nearby communities.
