Join Liberty Mutual Canada as our Events & Sponsorships Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in shaping how we connect with clients, partners, and employees across the country. In this role, you’ll lead the planning and execution of high-impact events and sponsorship initiatives that elevate Liberty Mutual Canada’s brand and bring our business goals to life, operating at both strategic and execution levels. From national and regional client events to internal experiences that drive our culture forward, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering experiences that truly matter. Duties and Responsibilities: External events & sponsorships: Plan, create, and execute the annual events and sponsorship strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy and support of business and corporate goals. Develop events and sponsorship plans for the organization, including a high-level summary of tactical programs and initiatives across Canada. Lead annual planning cycles, including budget development and national calendar planning, in partnership with regional stakeholders. Establish and evaluate metrics and performance benchmarks to measure the success of events and sponsorship initiatives. Partner with business units to understand their needs and develop engagement opportunities that align with those goals. Plan, lead, and coordinate large-scale client and partner events, including venue sourcing, proposals, contract negotiation, menu selection, floor plans, vendor coordination, event invitations, RSVP tracking, and pre-event communications. Lead national sponsorship placements and corporate charitable donations, including tracking, payments, and coordination of deliverables. Coordinate Canada’s involvement and participation in Liberty Mutual-organized global events and sponsorships. Oversee the execution of broker/client engagement experiences hosted by Liberty Mutual. Coordinate the creation and procurement of promotional items (apparel, giveaways, event-specific items), as well as banners, signage, and on-site materials. Incorporate, reinforce, and leverage the corporate brand image in internal and external events and sponsorships. Ensure adherence to company brand standards and guidelines and maintain consistency with the corporate look and feel. Ensure all events and sponsorships are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. Perform other duties as assigned. Internal events: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale corporate meetings, including an annual all-employee corporate kickoff, quarterly town halls, and Canadian leadership team meetings. Provide internal support for coordinating events and initiatives in partnership with employee resource groups. Manage finance expense planning, forecasting, and tracking, as well as sponsorship and event expense invoicing. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 4 – 5 years of relevant work experience in events management or marketing - including experience leading and coordinating events and sponsorships at both local and national levels required. Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Events Management or Marketing preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter with a forward-thinking and innovative mindset. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), content management systems (WordPress), email marketing tools (ExactTarget), and project management software. Graphic design experience considered an asset. Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or other professional services industries considered an asset. Ability to travel as required to support events and business needs Liberty Mutual Canada is committed to pay transparency and fair, equitable hiring. For roles based in Ontario and British Columbia, we publish a Target Hiring Range in compliance with Ontario and British Columbia's Pay Transparency Acts. This posting is for an active, current vacancy. Target Hiring Range: CAD $80,000 – $90,000 per year. This range represents the expected annual base salary for this role. Final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and the needs of the role. The posted range does not include variable compensation (bonus), allowances, or benefits. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
