Event Security Officer (Temporary Full-Time) at Paladin Security — NeverHard

Overview Job Skills / Requirements Site Description: Paladin is hiring event security officers to work at various locations around the Halifax Regional Municipality to cover Summer events This includes downtown Halifax and outside the HRM as far as Bridgewater. Position Details: Position: Event Security Officer Site: Various locations across HRM Hours: As needed; Shifts can be anywhere between 4-16hrs Payrate: $17.77 - $19.00 Key Responsibilities: • Patrol the building, facilities and exterior grounds • Access Control & ID checks • Respond to incidents and play an active role in all emergency situations • Conduct investigations re: thefts, break and enter, suspicious persons, accidents, vandalism, etc and complete incident reports, occurrence logs or appropriate documentation • Complete door locks/unlocks as required; monitor for unsecure doors • Enforce site's policy as per assigned and document all non-compliance • Provide customer service and assistance, as necessary, to community members • Assist in orientation and training of new security personnel, as required. • Provide First Aid response • Monitor surveillance cameras, as required. • Other related duties and assignments, as delegated by management • Parking Duties may be required • Must be able to work outside and stand for long periods of time Prerequisites: • Ability to obtain Security License for the province of Nova Scotia (pass a criminal background check) • Must currently hold a valid Intermediate (Standard) First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor) • Must be willing to travel up to 1Hr for certain events • Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle are considered asset. • English (oral and written) fluency is a must Why choose Paladin? • Your paycheck, on your schedule-daily pay offered. • Opportunities for training and professional development. • Competitive wage and benefits package. • Free Uniforms • Company paid Security license • Dry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowance • Paid vacation & sick days Education Requirements (All) High School Diploma/GED Certification Requirements (All) Intermediate First Aid/CPR C Additional Information / Benefits Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE !
