Overview Job Skills / Requirements Site Description: Etobicoke General is a full-service community hospital with many specialized services including a critical care response team, cardiac catheterization suite, a Regional Kidney Wellness Centre, a Centre for Complex Diabetes Care and an expansive Mental Health and Addictions program. Opened in 2007, the hospital has one of the largest labour and delivery programs in the province, and one of the busiest emergency departments in Canada. Position Details: Position: Full-Time Security Team Lead Site: Etobicoke General Hospital | 101 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Hours: Rotating Continental (0600- 1800 / 1800 - 0600) Payrate: $25.16 / an hour (based on levelling system) Posting Date: May 14th, 2026 Internal Closing Date: May 20th, 2026 External Closing Date: May 20th, 2026 Position Overview: The Security Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily activities and job performance of the Security Guard assigned to their shift. The Team Lead is expected to represent Paladin Security Group as well as the facility they are assigned to: Essential Job Functions: Provides leadership, direction and ongoing coaching and training Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and hospital security policies and procedures Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training Motivates staff and recommends commendations to their Supervisor Ensures proper documentation is passed onto the Supervisor/CSM Assist in tracking and deployment of security staff Handle a variety dispatch duties including incident call taking Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints Communicates any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager Requirements: Minimum two (2) years of hospital security experience required Minimum one (1) year of supervisory / team lead experience required Preferred Post-Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act Superior written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability Legally Authorized to work in Canada Highlights: Opportunities for training and professional development Competitive salary and benefits package.
