Job Title: Estimator / Senior Estimator Location: Burnaby, BC Salary: $100K – $140K Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite Estimator / Senior Estimator Overview Our client, a well-established and growing construction company based in Burnaby, BC, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing complex construction projects while working alongside an experienced management team in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll lead the estimating process from initial tender through pre-construction while helping shape project strategy and supporting future business growth across Western Canada. What You'll Do Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and pre-construction activities for complex construction projects. Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation to identify project scope, opportunities and potential commercial risks. Complete detailed quantity take-offs and develop accurate labour, equipment and material pricing. Collaborate closely with operations, project management and clients throughout the estimating and pre-construction process to ensure successful project handover. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and industry partners while identifying future business opportunities. Qualifications 5+ years of estimating experience within construction, ideally involving structural steel, industrial or heavy civil projects. Proven ability to prepare competitive estimates for medium to large-scale construction projects. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify project risks and develop practical solutions. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is considered an asset but is not essential.
