Senior Estimator / Project Coordinator

The Opportunity
This is not a “plug-and-play” estimating role. We are looking for a seasoned professional who understands heavy civil concrete forming inside and out , someone who can confidently price complex work, identify risk before it becomes costly, and support projects through execution.You’ll play a central role in both pre-construction and operations, working closely with management, field teams, owners, and general contractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex construction challenges, and want to have a meaningful impact within a growing company, this role was built for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Estimating & Pre-Construction Leadership
Lead the estimating process for heavy civil and low-rise concrete forming projects across Ontario
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, labour forecasts, and material pricing for:
Bridges
Culvert footings
Headwalls
Toe walls
Retaining walls
Chambers
Related concrete structures
Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents with a critical eye for scope gaps and risk exposure
Build competitive and profitable bids using
B2W Estimate
and Excel
Develop and maintain unit pricing databases and historical costing information
Collaborate with management to refine bidding strategy and project execution planning
Project Coordination & Operations Support
Coordinate awarded projects from startup through completion
Attend pre-construction meetings, site meetings, and owner/GC coordination meetings
Manage contracts, project documentation, subcontracts, and internal job setup processes
Track, prepare, and manage change orders through approval and closeout
Serve as a key communication link between field crews, management, clients, consultants, and general contractors
Help protect the company’s commercial interests while maintaining strong professional relationships
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and construction leadership to the table.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in concrete forming and heavy civil construction
Proven success estimating heavy civil concrete structures — particularly bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and infrastructure work
Strong proficiency with
B2W Estimate
and Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of:
Formwork systems
Labour production rates
Concrete construction sequencing
Material and equipment costing
Ability to confidently read and interpret civil and structural drawings
Experience participating in site meetings and managing project coordination responsibilities
Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Commercially aware, solutions-oriented, and confident navigating the realities of construction contracts and project politics
