is seeking a
Environmental Technician
for our Borger, Texas field office. This field-based role supports environmental site assessment, investigation, and remediation activities by conducting inspection, sampling, and contractor oversight tasks. This position works closely with the Field Operations Lead to execute projects safely and efficiently, with a strong emphasis on data quality and regulatory compliance.
The Environmental Technician supports field execution by collaborating with project teams and promoting a strong safety culture. Candidates should demonstrate adaptability, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently in the field while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Conducting routine fieldwork including sampling of environmental media (e.g., soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and air), utilizing standard field equipment and instruments for data collection and monitoring such as photoionization detectors (PID), soil-groundwater interface probes, and multiparameter water quality meters.
Performing environmental site assessments/inspections and basic calculations related to site investigation and remediation activities.
Managing field sample chain-of-custody documentation, packaging, and shipping to laboratories.
Performing operation and maintenance (O&M) on remediation systems
Overseeing contractor field tasks related to site investigation and remediation activities.
Supporting the coordination of field activities, including utility locating, surveying, and oversight of investigation and remediation projects under the direction and guidance of project managers.
Documenting field activities accurately and maintains detailed, organized field notes in accordance with project requirements.
Communicating effectively with project managers and team members to provide timely updates on field progress, and safety observations.
Building experience toward an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
