Coventry University Kazakhstan is opening its doors in Almaty, and we are looking for an Engineering Systems Maintenance to join our growing team. Job Purpose At Coventry University Kazakhstan, the ESM is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of the university’s engineering systems (including HVAC, water, power supply, and fire safety systems). The role plays a vital part in safeguarding the campus infrastructure and promoting a safe, secure, and sustainable environment for all staff, students, and visitors. Main Duties and Responsibilities Monitor, operate, and maintain electrical, HVAC, water supply, and fire suppression infrastructure Execute preventative maintenance schedules to maximize engineering system reliability and efficiency Resolve system failures and technical issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for servicing complex engineering equipment Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and system performance Manage regulatory inspections, certifications, and compliance reporting with government authorities Oversee campus space allocation and logistical support for events, equipment, and utilities Develop and maintain university emergency response, evacuation plans, and safety protocols Inspect and maintain emergency power generators, fire alarms, and fire suppression systems Track energy consumption to implement sustainability and energy-efficiency practices
