Job DescriptionJob Description Engineering Manager Our client is an industrial equipment manufacturing company in the Lower Mainland. They are looking for an experienced P.Eng. to join their team to lead and mentor an engineering team in their busy organization. They have global distribution of their product and machinery. Responsibilities: Team Leadership : Inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of mechanical engineers, technologists, and designers. Design Authority : Review and approve comprehensive 3D models, detailed fabrication drawings, and accurate bills of materials (BOMs). Product Development : Oversee prototype creation, rigorous validation testing, and hands-on, in-plant commissioning support. Technical Translation : Convert complex customer process requirements into precise, executable equipment design specifications. Project Execution : Scope projects, estimate costs, plan lead times, and author winning technical proposals. Design for Manufacturing : Partner closely with fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to optimize designs for efficient production. Problem Solving : Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical challenges during the build, installation, and commissioning phases. Requirements: Post Secondary in mechanical engineering. P.Eng. Experience with Creo and 3D CAD software Knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment and machinery manufacturing Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously People leadership experience Salary in the mid 100,000 range depending on experience.
