Job DescriptionJob Description
We are seeking an Electronic Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be performing maintenance and repair on PCB electronic machinery in our production/manufacturing areas for the Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of all clean room related production equipment
2. Perform maintenance and repair on equipment related to microelectronics and PCB manufacturing.
3. Assist with the maintenance and calibration on following equipment:
high vacuum
thin film deposition
wire bonders
pick and place machines
laser welders
4. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated manufacturing process equipment
5. Perform preventative maintenance procedures on hybrid assembly chip and wire equipment
6. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns when requested
7. Follow safe work procedures
8. Assist with monitoring maintenance contracts as requested
9. Familiarity with process equipment: Vacuum deposition, Electroplating, Dicing, Bonding, Module Assembling
10. Must have experience working with automated production equipment
Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery and pipeline distribution systems
Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
Perform routine preventative maintenance
Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Skills/Requirements:
Must be able to read, understand and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical circuitry
Ability to read schematics, manuals and maintain accurate maintenance log
Problem solving, decision making, planning and organization skills
Must be mechanically inclined
Familiarity with the vacuum pumps and leak detection equipment
Familiarity with Cleanrooms procedures: Contamination and environment control
Able to work successfully on automated machinery, etc.
ESD safety: understanding of electrostatic discharge precautions to protect sensitive microelectronics components
Familiarity with preventative and corrective maintenance: Scheduling and executing maintenance to minimize downtime
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis without employer sponsorship
Experience working within the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) environment is considered an asset
Must be able to obtain CGP registration
Education:
Completion of College/ Vocational Training
Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering program an asset
