Electrician Journeyperson,
whose primary responsibility is performing work on both client and company electrical systems and equipment while upholding strict safety and quality standards. Fortis is a proud Saskatchewan-based company known for our innovation, integrity, and deep ties to the communities we serve.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Install and support electrical systems:
Panel boards, distribution centers, load centers
Transformers, filters, NGRs
Mechanical equipment
Conduit, cable tray, wireways, armored cable, bussing
Motors, PLCs and motor controls.
Install, terminate, and splice HV/MV cable as required.
Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment
Motors, motor controls
PLCs
Building infrastructure, fabrication shop equipment
Mechanical control systems such as MUAs and HRVs.
Maintenance And Monitoring
Perform preventative maintenance
Respond to site issues, source parts, and help reduce downtime or delays.
Use Technical Information Confidently
Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, manuals, schematics, and client/internal procedures.
Work As Part Of a Team
Coordinate with other trades
Complete calculations and risk assessments
Support additional tasks as needed.
What You Bring To The Table
Licensed Red Seal Electrician
Valid driver’s licence
Strong safety mindset
Physical readiness
To lift to 50 lbs
Work overhead, and work in awkward positions when required
Comfortable with working at heights, outdoors, and underground mine sites
Technical confidence in math, drawings, procedures, and electrical troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Professional communication and organization skills
Mechanical or carpentry experience is considered an asset
