Industrial Maintenance Electricians (442A / 309A) – 2 Open Roles – Etobicoke, ON
High-Volume Food Manufacturing Environment | Strong Pay + Benefits | Long-Term Stability
We are hiring two experienced Industrial Maintenance Electricians for a well-established manufacturing facility in Etobicoke. These are full-time, permanent roles within a fast-paced production environment focused on electrical troubleshooting, automation systems, and equipment reliability.
Compensation & Shift Options
Position 1 – Afternoon Shift Electrician
• $42.00/hour
• Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (straight afternoon shift)
Position 2 – Continental Shift Electrician
• $43.50/hour + $3.00/hour shift premium
• Shift: 12-hour rotating continental schedule (days and nights)
• Example rotation: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotating pattern)

What You’ll Be Doing
• Troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical and automation systems
• Maintaining production equipment to ensure uptime and reliability
• Working with PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and control systems
• Performing preventive maintenance and responding to breakdowns
• Supporting production line efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working closely with maintenance and production teams in a fast-paced environment
Equipment & Systems
• Conveyors and automated packaging systems
• PLC-controlled production lines
• Motors, drives, and VFD systems
• Sensors, controls, and instrumentation
• Bakery and food production equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers)
• Robotics and automated systems (site dependent)
What We’re Looking For
• 442A Industrial Electrician (preferred) or 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician
• 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and control systems
• Experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or automated production environments preferred
• PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley or Siemens an asset)
• Strong understanding of safety procedures including lockout/tagout
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Work Environment
• Part of a maintenance and reliability team (not a solo role)
• Approximately 80–90% electrical / controls work and 10–20% mechanical support
• Mix of live production troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance work
• Strong focus on uptime, reliability, and safety
