Role Summary
PTW is seeking local Electrical Apprentices to join our team in Hinton, AB. This role involves supporting construction and maintenance electrical work on industrial projects in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are safety-focused, dependable, and eager to continue developing their electrical trade skills while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
Support construction and maintenance electrical work on industrial projects
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Conduct inspections and maintain compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations
Complete job documentation, reports, and required project records accurately
Collaborate with supervisors, Journeypersons, and other team members to support project success
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Qualifications / Requirements
Must be an indentured Electrical Apprentice or certified Journeyperson
Construction and maintenance electrical experience required
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as within a team environment
Reliable and dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
Valid safety certifications required:
CSO
Standard First Aid
ESC Fall Protection
H2S Alive
Valid Class 5 Driver's License required
Must be authorized to work in Canada
Must be local to Hinton or within commuting distance, or willing to relocate
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive compensation and benefits package
Shift: 5/2
Opportunity to work 8 to 12 hours per day based on workload requirements
Overtime opportunities may be available on an occasional basis
Temporary travel pay provided for this position
Relocation assistance available:
$5,000 relocation incentive for candidates relocating from over 100 km away
$2,500 paid on the first paycheque
$2,500 paid on the second paycheque
