Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Experienced Electrician – Film Trailer Manufacturing Job Description This permanent, full-time role focuses on specialized electrical installations for high-end custom trailers used in the motion picture industry. You will perform trailer wiring, install and integrate advanced green-energy systems, and work from technical blueprints to deliver high-quality, custom-built trailers in a collaborative production environment. Responsibilities Install and run trailer wiring, including routing cables, setting up electrical breaker panels, and installing interior and exterior electrical devices on custom trailers. Fit and install green-energy components such as solar panels, commercial generators, and inverters into trailer electrical systems. Interpret and work from electrical schematics, technical layout blueprints, and other documentation to complete installations accurately. Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify, diagnose, and resolve wiring, component, and control issues. Apply a general understanding of electrical procedures and best practices to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable installations. Record and document project details in accordance with strict company quality records and standards. Use hand tools and electrical tools safely and effectively while assembling and installing electrical systems. Collaborate with other team members in the facility to coordinate work, support cross-training, and maintain efficient production flow. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a large manufacturing facility environment. Essential Skills Hands-on electrical experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Proficiency in electrical wiring, including trailer wiring and panel installations. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical blueprints. General understanding of different electrical procedures and methods. Basic knowledge of electrical power and control systems. Experience using hand tools and electrical tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform troubleshooting on electrical systems and components. Good English communication skills for working with documentation and team members. Physical fitness to perform tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and working in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with solar systems or electric vehicle (EV) technology is an asset. Residential electrical wiring experience is an advantage. Comfort working from blueprints and technical drawings in a production setting. Interest in green-energy and advanced electrical integration for mobile applications. Work Environment The role is based in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 50 workers. Temperatures can be warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in varying conditions. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday on a first shift from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime available once you are trained and have demonstrated strong performance. The dress code includes safety-toe work boots (STWB), long pants, and a T-shirt, suitable for a hands-on production environment focused on safety and practicality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chilliwack, BC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
