Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Journeyperson Electrician Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of commercial new build projects, small-scale industrial installations, and occasional multi-family residential work. You will apply your Red Seal electrical expertise to tasks such as running conduit and performing terminations, while supporting projects both locally and on short out-of-town assignments across Alberta and British Columbia. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on a variety of commercial new build projects, including tenant spaces and core building systems. Perform electrical work on small-scale industrial projects, including installations such as EV chargers and related infrastructure. Run conduit, pull wire, and complete terminations in accordance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute work accurately and efficiently. Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with site teams and other trades to coordinate work, minimize disruptions, and meet project timelines. Travel to project sites across Alberta and British Columbia as required, including occasional out-of-town assignments of up to two weeks at a time. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Follow all site safety procedures and participate in safety meetings and training as required. Essential Skills Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification. Proven commercial electrical experience, including work on new build projects. Experience with small-scale industrial electrical work, such as EV charger installations. Strong skills in running conduit, pulling wire, and performing terminations to a high standard. Valid CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between project sites. Ability and willingness to work across Alberta and British Columbia, including occasional out-of-town assignments of up to two weeks. Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience on multi-family residential electrical projects. Knowledge in both commercial and industrial environments. Strong communication skills to work effectively with site teams and other trades. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a crew. Good organizational skills to manage tasks and meet project deadlines. Why Work Here?
