Reports to Project Director Career Level Manager Job Purpose The Electrical Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, and overseeing all electrical engineering, installation, and commissioning activities during the construction of a sugar factory. The role ensures that the electrical scope of work is executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards. Career Level Expectations Area and Nature of Responsibility Full responsibility for electrical design review, procurement coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems in the sugar factory and power plant. Communication Strong coordination with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies. Regular reporting to senior management. Innovation Implement best practices in electrical project execution, introduce energy-efficient solutions, and optimize electrical load management. Job specific responsibilities and accountabilities Responsibilities and Accountabilities Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications. Plan and supervise installation of substations, MCCs, VFDs, cabling, and lighting systems. Coordinate with mechanical, Instrumentation and process teams to integrate electrical systems. Manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Lead electrical testing and commissioning. Enforce electrical safety standards on-site. Prepare progress reports and technical documentation. Success Measure / Indicator Compliance with project and regulatory standards. Completion as per project schedule and quality benchmarks. Smooth interface and no delays due to electrical issues. Vendor performance and timely delivery. Successful startup with minimal faults. Zero major incidents/violations. Timely submission and accuracy. Qualification Required Education (Degree) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Certifications – other than education degree Professional Certification PMP (Project Management Professional) Relevant experience Internal relationships Project management team External relationships Contractors, consultants, equipment vendors, utility authorities, regulatory agencies.
