Power Precision Electrical Field Services team is growing!If you are committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.We are currently seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems at customer facilities, including utility, commercial, and industrial power systems spanning low and high‑voltage applications. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. This position requires strong hands-on electrical expertise, effective problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel to job sites throughout the Atlantic Region as required, while representing the company in a professional manner.Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToMaintain or Commission Substation equipment including Power Transformers, Circuit Breakers, HV Switches and Instrument TransformersMaintain distribution equipment, such as breaker testing, relay testing, HV Switches and transformersRelay Protection upgrades and modificationsCustom breaker and electrical switchgear retrofitsLV breaker repair and refurbishmentsRead and interpret electrical AC & DC schematics, AC three-line diagramsBe familiar with industry specific codes and Standards (CEC, IEEE, and NETA)Ability and willingness to travel out of town for commissioning or maintenance projectsMay be required to provide emergency services to the company's customers on short noticeRequired to work in an industrial and outdoor substation environmentFamiliarity or willing to gain familiarity with testing different types of high voltage and low voltage equipmentDeliver on time and professional services, build, and maintain customer relationshipsReport, record, compute and process electrical test information in accordance with accepted standard practicesCo-ordinate the day-to-day functions on a job-by-job basis, such as but not limited to, compliance with all Health and Safety standards and regulations, equipment and materials, resolving conflicts, timely and accurate submission of paperworkExercise due diligence in the care and operation of corporate assetsCarry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assignedEnvironmental requirements will range from frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, bending and reachingCompetency RequirementsCommunicates EffectivelyChange OrientationContinuous LearningCustomer FocusHolds Self and Others AccountableProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationValues and Respects OthersMaximizes Business Performance and Team EffectivenessEducation RequirementsElectrician license (Construction Electrician)Electrical technologist diplomaThe following certifications/designations are considered an assetLV & MV relay testingPrevious distribution maintenance activitiesWork Experience Requirements2-3 years of field experienceSkills, Abilities, And Other RequirementsConstruction scheduling, planning, and executionAble to read electrical drawingsEstablished electrical utilities practices, procedures and techniquesApplicable local and provincial labour codesOrganization and time managementWilling and able to travel within the Atlantic RegionValid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver’s LicenseSecurity clearance
