Job Purpose The Electrical Engineer will support the planning, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems during the construction of a sugar factory. The role involves detailed engineering review, site supervision, testing, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines. Area and Nature of Responsibility Assist in design review, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Communication Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal project teams. Escalate issues to Electrical Manager as required. Innovation Suggest practical improvements for installation methods, energy saving, and system reliability. Competency & Level of Proficiency Proficient in electrical systems for industrial projects, with working knowledge of automation and controls. Supervise electrical installation of substations, MCCs, cabling, lighting, and automation systems. Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety practices. Support testing and commissioning activities. Coordinate with mechanical/process engineers for system integration. Maintain daily reports and progress updates. Success Measure / Indicator Accuracy of design implementation. Installation quality and compliance with project standards. Zero safety violations and rework. Smooth handover of systems with minimal defects. No delays caused by electrical issues. Timely and accurate documentation. Qualification Required Education (Degree) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Qualification Professional Certification Required AutoCAD Electrical / ETAP / PLC Programming Certifications. Experience/ Years of Experience Required 3–5 years of experience in electrical works for industrial construction projects. Desirable Experience in sugar/refinery/food process plants or heavy industrial facilities. Hands-on commissioning experience. Internal relationships Electrical Manager, project engineers, civil/mechanical teams, HSE team. External relationships Contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers, and utility authorities. Competencies Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution (HT/LT). Understanding of motors, drives, MCCs, PLCs, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong teamwork and communication. Essential skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical calculation tools. Familiarity with IEC standards.
