full-time special project position
will be available as of July 1, 2026, in the Educational and Technology Services Department at Riverside School Board, located at 7525 chemin de Chambly in St. Hubert.

The Educational and Technology Services department offers direct and indirect support to school teams, administrators, teachers, students and parents. Some of the key dossiers for which the department is responsible include curriculum, teaching and learning, and the pedagogical integration of technology and library services. As a member of this team, you would contribute to these.
NATURE OF THE TASK
The successful candidate will serve as an Education Consultant dedicated to the implementation of
Measure 15156
, specifically focusing on providing comprehensive support, mentorship, and training for teaching personnel undergoing professional induction (
insertion professionnelle
), whether they are Legally Qualified (LQ) or Non-Legally Qualified (NLQ).
The position of education consultant encompasses, in particular, responsibility for providing
advice
and
support
to staff of educational institutions and services in the implementation, development and evaluation of programs of study, class management and instructional materials.
The successful candidate will work in close
collaboration
with the members of the Educational and Technology Services team. Within their mandate, this person will be required to guide and contribute to reflection on
educational success
and
relevant data
, in collaboration with school teams and educational services. They will analyze existing data, as well as search for the best tools, resources and means to concretely measure progress. Specific pedagogical dossiers will be assigned, that could include
Culture and Citizenship in Québec and/or Social Sciences.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
Pedagogical Support and Mentorship: In alignment with the official classification, this position encompasses the responsibility for providing targeted advice and support to school-based staff. The consultant will guide teachers in class management, the development and evaluation of programs of study, and the selection of effective instructional materials.
Collaborative Data Analysis: Working in close collaboration with the members of the Educational and Technology Services team, the candidate will guide and contribute to strategic reflection on educational success. This involves analyzing existing data alongside school teams to identify, implement, and track the best tools and resources to concretely measure teacher integration and student progress.
Curriculum & Special Dossiers: The consultant will integrate language and literacy across the curriculum as a foundational element of teacher development. Additionally, they will manage specific pedagogical portfolios, which may include Culture and Citizenship in Québec and/or Social Sciences.
Generally, the education consultant participates in carrying out the educational project and the special projects of educational institutions; they participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of these projects towards student success, while complying with the academic and administrative requirements of both the educational institutions and the school board.
They contribute to the implementation of programs of study and training, provide advice to the teachers and administration concerning the interpretation of those programs, design and lead training workshops and sessions on program components; they collaborate in developing learning situations and support experimentation in class.
They provide advice and support to teachers either individually or in a group format in matters pertaining to their daily teaching activities; they develop or select and deliver training and design activities to respond to needs in pedagogical adaptation, innovation and development.
They provide teachers with learning evaluation tools and guide them in the design, preparation or adaptation of evaluation tools.
May be called upon to work with a multidisciplinary team to draw up and review the individualized education plan of a handicapped student or a student with social maladjustments or learning difficulties; They participate in defining intervention objectives and means.
They work with teachers to prepare and implement strategies and projects aimed at helping all students.
They advise management, teaching or professional staff on matters pertaining to professional development programs, plan the programs and evaluate the results.
They analyze and recommend the purchase of learning materials, supplementary materials, equipment, software and program packages, and provide advice on room layouts.
They advise school staff on the means for integrating technology into teaching; they participate in carrying out related projects; they prepare and deliver training and information workshops on components of the program for integrating technology.
They collaborate with school resources, partner organizations and the Ministry.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty, namely education;
A minimum of five years experience in a relevant field of Culture and Citizenship in Québec and/or Social Sciences.
FURTHER REQUIREMENTS
Teaching certificate (BREVET)
Proven knowledge of the Quebec Education Program;
Knowledge of technology and of its integration for pedagogical purposes;
Excellent skills in both oral and written French and English;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively, as a member of a pedagogical team;

SCHEDULE:
to be determined, 35 hours per week.
ANNUAL SALARY:
In accordance with the Professionals’ Agreement, the salary ranges from $56,670 to $100,410 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
