Current Opportunities We are currently hiring for the following Early Childhood Educator (ECE) positions at our Waverley location: Summer Contract ECE (ending September 2026) Leave of Absence (LOA) Coverage (ending January 2027) Full-Time ECE (Permanent) Key Responsibilities Deliver an emergent curriculum that supports each child’s unique development and learning journey Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress reports, and attendance records Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioural development in a nurturing environment Collaborate with external professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists when required Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including classroom ratios Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and classroom transitions Qualifications Valid Nova Scotia ECE License Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (Level B or C) Ability to safely push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs What We Offer A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment Comprehensive benefits through Health Association Nova Scotia (for eligible full-time roles) Pension plan through CAAT (Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology) (for eligible roles) 35% discount on childcare services plus 20 complimentary back-up childcare days per year Ongoing career growth and advancement opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization Meaningful recognition and appreciation for your dedication and contributions Kids & Company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
