This is a part-time 3-month contract | 3 days/week | 24 hours/week.

What- the Role:
The EâInvoicing Business Analyst plays a critical role in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of electronic invoicing (eâinvoicing) solutions to ensure compliance with global indirect tax and regulatory requirements. This role acts as a bridge between tax, finance, IT, vendors, and external authorities to translate business and compliance needs into scalable system and process solutions.
The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of VAT/GST regulations, eâinvoicing mandates, and business process analysis with the ability to work effectively in crossâfunctional, global environments.
Business & Regulatory Analysis
Analyze global and regional eâinvoicing and realâtime reporting mandates (e.g., PEPPOL, clearance models, digital reporting requirements).
Interpret indirect tax and compliance requirements and translate them into functional and technical business requirements.
Assess current invoiceâtoâcash and procureâtoâpay processes to identify gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities related to eâinvoicing.
Solution Design & Implementation
Partner with IT, finance, tax, and external vendors to support eâinvoicing solution selection, design, and deployment.
Create detailed documentation including:
Business requirements documents (BRDs)
Functional specifications
Process maps and data flow diagrams
Validate system configurations and integrations (e.g., ERP, middleware, tax engines).
Stakeholder & Project Support
Act as a primary liaison between tax, finance, IT, procurement, and external service providers.
Support project planning, testing cycles (UAT), and goâlive readiness.
Provide clear communication and status updates to stakeholders, highlighting risks and remediation plans.
Testing, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios focused on regulatory compliance and business accuracy.
Support postâimplementation monitoring to ensure sustained compliance and operational efficiency.
Track regulatory changes and recommend enhancements to existing eâinvoicing processes and systems.
Who – the Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
4–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with demonstrated exposure to:
Eâinvoicing, digital tax reporting, or indirect tax compliance
ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
Experience working in global or multiâjurisdictional environments
Preferred Experience & Skills
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of:
Eâinvoicing frameworks (PEPPOL, clearance vs. postâaudit models)
VAT/GST invoice requirements
OrderâtoâCash (O2C) and ProcureâtoâPay (P2P) processes
Familiarity with:
XML/JSON invoice formats
Middleware or eâinvoicing platforms (e.g., Sovos, Vertex, Avalara, Pagero, Tradeshift)
Proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Confluence).
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problemâsolving capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical system solutions
Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions
Organized, detailâoriented, and comfortable working under regulatory deadlines

Eâinvoicing solutions are delivered on time, compliant, and scalable
Regulatory risks are proactively identified and mitigated
Business and IT stakeholders have clear, actionable requirements
Processes are standardized while remaining adaptable to local mandates
How Much:
Hourly rate of $50-55/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay. If Incorporated, please discuss with Swim.
