Job Description Position Purpose: Responsible for the safe collection, transportation, and delivery of regulated medical waste, sharps waste, pharmaceutical waste, and related healthcare waste streams between customer locations and designated treatment or disposal facilities. Ensures all manifests, shipping documents, and waste containers are properly prepared and compliant with applicable DOT, OSHA, state, and company regulations. Provides professional customer service while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Primary Duties /Responsibilities: Perform daily inspections of assigned vehicle to ensure safe operation and compliance with company standards. Collect, transport, and deliver regulated medical waste, sharps containers, non haz-pharmaceutical waste, and other approved waste streams between customer locations and treatment facilities. Review manifests, tracking documents, container labeling, and shipping paperwork for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Verify that waste containers are properly packaged, labeled, and closed prior to transportation. Provide excellent customer service while servicing healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, research facilities, and other customers. Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of waste containers using appropriate equipment and safe work practices. Report vehicle issues, incidents, accidents, customer concerns, or compliance issues to management promptly. Maintain required transportation records, inspection reports, route documentation, and company paperwork. Assist with facility housekeeping, container staging, and other operational support activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
