District Manager Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the District Manager will oversee and coordinate all actives for each self-storage store within a specified region.
We’re looking for a self-driven, self-aware, leader who is devoted to inspiring and motivating their team and providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinates and manages all operational issues at each store within the designated district in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
Manages and directs the day-to-day reservations/rentals, delinquent tenant management and maintenance activities for each store within the district.
Monitors each property performance and effects operational changes to achieve district goals.
Ensures timely implementation and ongoing adherence to all regional and corporate initiatives for marketing, operational and business programs.
Ensures that all self-storage facilities within the designated district are performing within the annual budgets and that each store achieves or exceeds the budgeted Net Operating Income.
Ensures that each self-storage facility is maintained to ensure that maximum curb appeal is maintained and that the facility provides customers with a clean, safe, dry and attractive environment to store their belongings.
Hires, trains, motivates and mentors all store employees within the designated district.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and performance of all store employees with the designated district, ensuring each store is properly staffed and operating during business hours.
Handles discipline and terminations of store employees in accordance with company policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Needed
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred; OR
Demonstrated leadership in building, developing and retaining high-performing teams of hourly employees in a retail, service or related industry.
Proven track record of first-class performance.
Exceptional communication and time management skills.
Passion for customer service excellence and coaching staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
