Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for actively participating in our Distribution Team to reach daily production targets. This includes manually picking required products and assembling them on pallets for shipping, assisting with clean up between shifts, and handling incoming and outgoing freight. This recruitment post is for full-time role based at our Distribution Centre located at 1119 Innovation Drive in Kingston Ontario . The incumbent shall be on an Night shift schedule working Continental Shifts starting at 6:30pm till 6:00am. Roles and Responsibilities: Picking, assembling and loading food orders for shipment, both manually and with a powered pallet truck Ensuring all orders are picked accurately and safely while maintaining production targets Performing general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment Participating in continuous improvement activities Ensuring food safety and food defense standards are followed Other duties as assigned Required Skills: 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced and physically demanding job Experience using a Powered Pallet Truck is an asset Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in ambient (room temperature) as well as freezer (approx. -20 degree Celsius) zones Correctable vision Proven track record of safety and reliability Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to read and follow written instructions Willingness to participate in ongoing development and to be cross trained in various areas of Distribution Communication both oral and written Benefits: Starting from your first day you will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package which includes the following: Extended Health Care Benefits Out of Country Medical Prescription Medication Dental Life Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Children AD&D Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Children Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance for the Employee Pension and RRSP plans Paid personal days Fitness Subsidy Benefit Uniform and boot allowance Engagement-oriented culture Compensation: Starting hourly rate of $26.01 with progressive increases over 3 years to current top rate of $31.30 (not including applicable premium(s).
