Director, Retail Sales, Automotive Finance – Alberta Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a dynamic leader to head our retail sales efforts across the Alberta region. As a critical member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role as a leader, mentor, coach, and expert resource for our Retail Relationship Managers. What will you do? Practice Management Provide strategic coordination and regional best practices guidance to retail sales forces Coach and develop Retail Account Managers to drive desired behaviors and continuous improvement Share industry best practices and foster innovation within the team Broaden leadership skills across your sales force (change management, strategic leadership, sales management, performance management, and issue resolution) Business & Risk Management Drive retail volume and market share increases through effective time and priority management Serve as the first point of contact for retail operations, including fraud investigations, escalations, and client care issues Ensure team accountability for results, performance, and continuous improvement Manage regular reporting and maintain data integrity Implementation, Initiatives & Client Experience Facilitate integration of National Office retail initiatives across the Alberta region Prepare and coordinate retail meetings and strategic discussions Develop your team's ability to deliver exceptional client experiences Ensure proactive client planning and meaningful contact with all clients to understand needs and satisfaction What do you need to succeed? Must Haves 5 to 10 years experience in automotive finance Proven leadership and team management experience Strong sales management and coaching background Demonstrated ability to drive business performance and market share growth Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management tools (e.g., SalesForce) Nice to Haves Commercial banking experience MBA or equivalent What’s in it for you?
