The Opportunity The Director, Pricing Operations and Vendor Cost Optimization leads the Pricing Operations, Business Cases, and Vendor Cost Optimization teams. The role oversees enterprise pricing management, financial modeling, and vendor spend optimization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitability targets. The position is a 9‑month contract based in the Toronto office with remote flexibility, reporting to the VP of Financial Planning, Analysis, and Pricing Operations. What you’ll do Lead the Pricing Operations, Business Cases, and Vendor Cost Optimization teams, establishing governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls that support effective decision‑making and risk management. Develop and implement enterprise pricing strategies, methodologies, and profitability frameworks across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Partnership channels, including enterprise‑level merchant deal modeling, segmented pricing, bundled pricing, and portfolio optimization. Oversee the development, execution, and monitoring of pricing and business case models for enterprise merchant deals, new initiatives, product launches, repricing activities, and other significant business decisions. Establish KPIs, reporting, and monitoring processes to measure profitability, pricing effectiveness, realized savings, policy compliance, and performance against targets; develop corrective action plans where required. Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Data, Sales, Marketing, and other business teams to ensure accurate cost inputs, consistent decision frameworks, and alignment between pricing strategies and business objectives. Manage pricing and profitability strategies across SMB, LAKA, and Partnership portfolios, using market insights, customer needs, and financial analysis to support growth and margin objectives. Lead competitive pricing analysis, market assessments, promotional strategy support, and executive‑level recommendations to drive business performance and long‑term strategic planning. Ensure network pricing changes are implemented accurately and on schedule, including required customer communications and compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Provide strategic oversight of material vendor spend by identifying cost optimization opportunities, supporting RFPs and vendor reviews, maintaining optimization frameworks, and advising business leaders on commercial decisions. Build and develop high‑performing teams by setting clear expectations, driving accountability, supporting employee development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered). Minimum of 10 years of experience in pricing, analytics, revenue management, portfolio management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 years of leadership and people‑management experience, including coaching and developing teams. Technical expertise in pricing strategies, methodologies, and price‑management practices. Expert‑level experience developing and evaluating financial models and business cases. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and analysis of large datasets. Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform pricing decisions, profitability analysis, forecasting, and business performance. Experience designing, implementing, and enhancing scalable business processes, controls, and governance frameworks. Strong business acumen to develop long‑range plans, evaluate investments, and forecast financial outcomes. Demonstrated experience developing and executing pricing strategies aligned with business objectives and profitability targets. Proven ability to solve complex business problems by assessing financial, operational, and cross‑functional impacts. Experience influencing stakeholders and driving business outcomes across multiple functions and levels of the organization. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred. Bilingual in French (desirable).
