Director of Sales (Portfolio Companies)
to unify, professionalize, and scale sales across all operating businesses.
Role Overview
The
Director of Sales
is responsible for
owning and overseeing all sales strategy, execution, and performance across Elevate Service Group’s operating companies
.
This role operates at the
holding company level
, working directly with each portfolio company’s leadership to:
Drive revenue growth
Standardize sales processes and reporting
Build scalable sales infrastructure
Identify and unlock cross-selling and enterprise opportunities
This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a sales executive who can operate both
strategically and tactically
in a multi-business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Sales Leadership
Own overall sales performance across all portfolio companies
Establish consistent sales goals, forecasting, and accountability across businesses
Align sales efforts with Elevate’s growth, margin, and acquisition strategy
Act as the senior sales leader supporting presidents / GMs of each operating company
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement scalable sales strategies tailored to each business while maintaining consistency where appropriate
Identify target customer segments, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities
Drive new customer acquisition, account expansion, and enterprise relationships
Support major deals, strategic accounts, and complex negotiations
Process, Systems & Reporting
Design and standardize sales processes, pipelines, and KPIs across portfolio companies
Implement or optimize CRM usage, forecasting discipline, and reporting cadence
Ensure leadership has clear visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue performance
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop sales leaders and individual contributors across the group
Assess existing sales talent and make recommendations on hiring, structure, or performance improvements
Establish performance expectations, compensation alignment, and incentive structures
Cross-Portfolio Growth & Synergies
Identify cross-selling and bundled service opportunities across portfolio companies
Coordinate enterprise or multi-location customers that may benefit from multiple Elevate offerings
Support integration of newly acquired businesses from a sales perspective
Collaboration with Operations & Finance
Partner with operations teams to ensure sales commitments align with delivery capabilities
Work with finance to support forecasting, pricing discipline, margin targets, and revenue planning
Provide sales insights to inform acquisition strategy and due diligence for future roll-ups
Experience & Background Requirements
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, a proven sales leader with experience overseeing
multiple business units or product lines
Experience in B2B services, manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors preferred
Track record of building and scaling sales teams and systems. You have a strong strategic mindset with the ability to execute hands-on when needed
Experience working with CRM systems, forecasting models, and KPI-driven sales management. You are data-driven, disciplined, and process-oriented
Exposure to M&A integration or multi-company environments is a strong asset. You are comfortable operating in a
private equity / holding company / roll-up environment
Strong communicator who can influence owners, operators, and frontline sales teams
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in fast-moving, evolving environments
