We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner to the executive team, driving financial strategy, performance management, and disciplined decision-making across the organization. This leader will oversee the full finance function—financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, FP&A, internal controls, cash management, and continuous improvement—while building scalable processes, developing talent, and strengthening the financial foundation that supports Tri-Mach’s growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all financial and accounting policies are consistently and accurately implemented, and that reporting is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Lead and develop the finance team (e.g., Senior Financial Analyst, AP, AR, Payroll), fostering accountability, capability growth, and a high-performing culture
Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and management reporting
Own the preparation of monthly financial statements, internal reporting packages, and external reporting to lenders/financial institutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning in partnership with department leaders; challenge assumptions and improve forecasting discipline
Lead financial performance analysis (by department, project/job, and customer where applicable), identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability
Establish, monitor, and continuously improve internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements
Lead working capital management (in particular, inventory/PO oversight in partnership with operations) to ensure strong balance sheet results
Lead cash management (in particular, cash forecasting, AR/AP cadence, FX and hedging opportunities) to ensure strong liquidity and cash conversion
Act as primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners; manage audit readiness, deliverables, and timelines
Support strategic initiatives such as system upgrades/ERP optimization, digitization and automation of finance processes, KPI dashboards, and data analytics (Power BI or similar)
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to strengthen project/job costing, margin visibility, and accountability
Provide leadership on risk management, contract review (financial terms), and decision support for pricing, capital investments, and growth initiatives
Requirements
University degree in Business/Accounting, with CPA or foreign equivalent designation
Minimum of 4 years of related experience required
Experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management
Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are vital to the role
Experience with financial planning and analysis
Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, specifically Excel
Independent problem solving skills, knowing when to seek approval for significant issues
Demonstrated team leadership experience
Excels in a fast paced, multi-location work environment
Exposure to data analytics and Power BI (or similar)

Salary Range For The Role: $160,000 to $180,000
The salary range provided in this posting is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location, as well as internal equity and budget considerations.
