A premier multinational corporation is looking for a Director of Complex Accounting and Special Projects to shape enterprise accounting governance and serve as a key technical advisor on strategic corporate growth. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Group Financial Controller, you will direct Group accounting policy, spearhead technical strategy for major acquisitions, and mentor a talented team of accounting professionals. What You’ll Drive M&A & Strategic Transactions: Serve as the lead technical expert on acquisitions and deal structuring, managing purchase price allocation and transaction accounting implications. Policy & IFRS Excellence: Direct enterprise accounting policies, analyze evolving IFRS standards, and lead seamless standard implementations across business units. Technical Rigor & Disclosures: Author robust, audit-ready position papers, oversee annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment evaluations, and partner on complex financial disclosures. Audit Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors on technical accounting matters. Team Development: Build, coach, and elevate a high-performing technical accounting team. What You Bring Senior Leadership: 15+ years of progressive accounting, advisory, or audit experience within large corporate or multinational environments. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of IFRS and practical application to complex corporate deals.
