Under the supervision of the CCO, the Director of Commercialization, will participate actively in Nortera’s strategic development.
The incumbent will oversee the process that brings new products to the market, leading transversal projects from concept to commercialization, bringing together and mobilizing the various stakeholders (commercial, I&D, marketing, operations, and supply chain).
The incumbent will also be mandated to manage the global product portfolio, analyze its performance while cultivating market knowledge and manage a team responsible for new product development, introductions and redesign projects.
THE ROLE:
Partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders and leaders across the organization to drive strategic initiatives related to products and its packaging through leadership and influence;
Support a team of Product developers and Project managers/coordinators to enable long term team success, develop talents, prioritize projects and ensure speed to market;
Make recommendations relative to feasibility, production optimization, complexity and profitability of potential new projects;
Operate with significant autonomy to deliver results and achieve the goals and objectives of both your team and the broader organization;
Act as an internal business partner to answer clients’ needs regarding launching initiatives needing development;
Implement optimization processes to enhance efficiency and speed to market;
Lead and organize the Shark Tank meeting, , ensuring that projects are fully feasible after being presented to the client;
Manage our project management tool and provide training & support to the commercial team;
Manage Private Label packaging and design development budget along with Kosher certification contract and invoices;
Participate in portfolio optimization (assortment gaps, life cycle analysis, product launches and delistings) in the SIOP cycle;
Lead and ensure the success of strategic projects with a significant impact on the company;
Oversee cross-functional initiatives involving multiple departments and ensure alignment of priorities;
Implement tools and methodologies that promote efficiency and rapid decision-making (EX. New Workflows (discontinuation, purchased item), NPD process, Substitution process etc).
PROFILE:
Minimum 8 years of relevant experiences;
Project management experience (ideally with Packaging purchasing experience);
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
Advanced French and English (spoken and written);
Committed to supporting and serving clients;
Anticipation and proactiveness;
Persistent, solution oriented;
Autonomy, influence and initiative;
Good knowledge of legislation governing labeling rules in Canada, the USA and internationally (an asset);
Good knowledge of artwork and packaging development.
