Position Overview
The Managing Director – Unicel Architectural Corp. is responsible for leading front‑end business functions, including marketing, estimating, project management, product management and customer engagement. The role ensures clear understanding of customer requirements, accurate estimation, and seamless transition to production and delivery teams. Reporting directly to the Door & Windows General Manager, the Managing Director acts as a strategic partner to drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance, providing strong thought leadership, inspiring innovation and influencing excellence.
What You Will Do
Establish and execute the strategy for the front‑end business functions of Unicel Architectural Corp., including Sales, Marketing, Estimating, Product Management, Project Management and customer engagement.
Build a culture of collaboration and be a change champion in the business environment.
Maintain strong cross‑functional relationships with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Finance.
Commercial Strategy Leadership
Develop and implement efficient processes across Marketing, Estimating and Product Management by creating or leveraging existing processes and technologies to maximize productivity.
Prepare and contextualize business results and adjust strategy based on KPIs.
Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure commercial performance and forecast revenue.
Lead collaboration between Sales/Estimating teams and production and delivery teams.
Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate costing, pricing and margin management.
Sales & Business Development
Partner with the Sales team in identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities.
Partner with Sales leadership and help execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets and expand market share.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders, representing the Business Unit in sales meetings and external conferences.
Help identify patterns among key customer pain points and help develop preemptive strategies to mitigate issues.
Estimating & Proposals
Oversee the Estimating function to ensure timely, accurate and competitive proposals.
Standardize estimating processes, tools and pricing models for consistency and profitability.
Ensure collaboration with operations and engineering teams to align proposals with manufacturing capabilities.
Product & Market Management
Manage product portfolio strategy, including positioning, pricing and lifecycle management.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
Partner with R&D/Engineering to prioritize new product opportunities and enhancements.
Patent and trademark management.
People & Leadership
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategies and initiatives.
Serve as a key leader in driving organizational change and adoption of new processes, tools and strategies.
Build and lead cross‑functional teams to execute strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
What You Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
8–12+ years of progressive experience in Sales, Estimating, Product Management or commercial leadership, preferably in manufacturing, construction or industrial sectors.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading cross‑functional teams.
Strong financial acumen with experience in pricing, margin analysis and forecasting.
Fluent in French and English.
Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
Ability to travel 30%

Compensation
Base salary range: $175,000 – $225,000.
