About the role
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of land development projects for the Westbow Group. You will work closely with the development team, the Project Analyst in Finance, project managers, consultants, municipal authorities, and other internal and external stakeholders. You will coordinate communication, maintain project documentation, and accurately track and report schedules, milestones, budgets, costs, and project priorities. This is a hands-on role; success comes from teamwork, confident upward management, and the ability to influence progress across teams without direct authority.
What you're great at
Staying organized, consistent, and highly attentive to detail while tracking progress accurately.
Communicating clearly with different audiences; you are outgoing, emotionally intelligent, and confident asking questions and providing answers.
Managing conflict constructively and balancing the priorities and goals of multiple teams.
Taking initiative as a driven self-starter, managing upward effectively, and providing clear reporting.
Thinking outside the box, contributing ideas, and being an involved and dependable team player.
Prioritizing critical work in a fast-paced environment and remaining flexible when the small team needs support outside a narrowly defined scope.
Facilitating cross-group collaboration, inspiring commitment, and motivating others toward a shared goal without direct authority.
Exceeding goals, mobilizing others to initiate change, building team capability, unlocking individual potential, and deeply understanding customer dynamics.
Defining a multi-year strategy for your own area while keeping decisions aligned with the needs of the wider business.
What you'll be doing
Assist in managing and tracking the progress of land development projects, maintaining schedules and to-do lists for accurate reporting.
Organize and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, reports, schedules, and correspondence.
Support the development team in creating, maintaining, and monitoring development budgets and project schedules, tracking costs, and coordinating invoices for accurate reporting.
Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external officials to support smooth project execution.
Assist the development team with market, product, data, and service research, and bring forward ideas that can directly increase project revenue and profit.
Attend consultant meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and complete follow-up reports.
Support the development team with public engagement and community meetings.
Maintain organized, current, and accessible project files.

An urban planning background and experience creating and tracking pro formas and budgets in Excel.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
