New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Deli Manager at our Downtown Food Storein Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What youll do:
Provide an excellent customer experience
Provide training, leadership, and direction to Team Members within the department, in the development and achievement of operational and budgetary goals including, sales, margins, expenses, inventory management and shrinkage control
Responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the Deli Department including scheduling of Team Members, ordering, receiving, merchandising, and accurate pricing of products for the counter set -up in order to ensure that an adequate selection is available
Prepare a wide variety of deli meats, cheeses, party trays, fresh salads, deli sandwiches and hot and cold entrees
Ensure that all Team Members always maintain the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness while adhering to all Food Safety guidelines, procedures, and requirements
Responsible for the preparation, completion, and final approval of performance reviews and development action plans of all Team Members
Other duties, as assigned

Who you are and what you have:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Enthusiastic approach to work with strong organizational skills
Must be responsible and possess great leadership skills
Experience managing a team in a retail environment
Kitchen/food preparation experience required
Practical working knowledge of daily retail operations
Able to work independently and in a team
High School Diploma
Available to work on a very flexible schedule with the ability to work up to 50 hours weekly
