Role Purpose
As an Executive Advisor, you will lead work winning and executive-level delivery across Data, Analytics & Insights engagements, with a particular focus on defining data strategies and establishing strong data management practices. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping data-driven transformation programs, building repeatable offerings aligned to core engineering services, and setting the commercial and delivery rhythm required for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Position GHD as a trusted advisor for data strategy, data governance, and digital transformation in infrastructure
Lead conversations on how data is structured, governed, and leveraged to drive better outcomes
Translate complex data, technical, and commercial concepts into clear executive decisions
Work Winning, Market Development & Offer Leadership
Shape opportunities in data strategy, data management, and analytics transformation across priority sectors
Develop and scale offerings spanning data governance, architecture, and information management
Align market demand with GHD’s engineering and advisory capabilities
Delivery Leadership & Executive Technical Oversight
Lead large-scale engagements spanning data strategy, data architecture, and data management frameworks
Define end-to‑end solutions—from data foundations and integration through to analytics and AI
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, governed, and aligned with client operating models
Capability Building
Build and scale teams with strengths in data strategy, governance, and enterprise data management
Mentor teams on best practices across data lifecycle, quality, and controls
Strengthen GHD’s data‑led advisory capability
Core Capability Areas
Data Strategy & Operating Models: vision, roadmaps, business cases
Data Management & Governance: ownership, standards, quality, lineage, compliance
Data Foundations: architecture, platforms, security, lifecycle management
Data Integration: ingestion, transformation, interoperability, data quality
Decision Intelligence: BI, self‑serve analytics, ML, AI & GenAI
What You Will Bring to the Team
12+ years of experience in data strategy and enterprise data management
Strong track record in data-driven transformation, including governance, architecture, and analytics
Experience building and leading high-performing teams
Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and convert relationships into work
Clear communication of complex data and technical concepts at senior levels
Ability to oversee high-quality deliverables including reports, dashboards, and strategic roadmaps
Personal Characteristics
Commercially minded, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused
Strong advocate for data‑led decision-making and governance discipline
Collaborative and inclusive leadership style
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping emerging opportunities
Preferred Offices
Toronto, Mississauga, Markham, Waterloo, or Whitby.
