Do you take pride in preparing food that not only tastes great but brings comfort to others? We’re looking for a dependable Culinary Aide to join our kitchen team and help ensure residents, employees, and special events are served safe, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared meals.
$500.00 Sign-on bonus!
What You’ll Do
As a Culinary Aide, you’ll play an important role in our dining services by:
Preparing and portioning foods such as beverages, salads, desserts, and snacks according to menus and dietary needs
Following food safety and proper handling standards to ensure meals are safe, fresh, and appealing
Serving meals at the correct temperature, on schedule, and with care
Using standardized recipes and portion control tools for consistency and quality
Accurately serving residents according to diet orders and preferences
Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and serving areas
Washing dishes and maintaining sanitation logs for temperatures and sanitizer use
Labeling, dating, storing, and rotating food properly
Monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures and reporting concerns promptly
Assisting with receiving and storing food and supplies
Supporting inventory awareness and minimizing waste
Operating kitchen equipment safely and reporting maintenance issues
Working collaboratively with teammates across departments
Creating a welcoming, respectful environment for residents, families, and visitors

Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling practices
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow schedules
A patient, polite, and service-oriented attitude
Dependability, punctuality, and consistency in attendance

Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses/Certification
Food Handlers Permit or willingness to obtain one, if required per state regulations.
NOTE: Federal Child Labor Laws do not permit employees younger than 18 years of age to work with or repair, adjust, or clean power-driven machines such as meat slicers and commercial mixers. Therefore, individuals must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this position.
Experience
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Experience in food service is desired.
