Position Details: Position: Full-Time ED Triage Guard Site: Credit Valley Hospital | 2200 Eglinton Avenue West, Mississauga Averaging Agreement :Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Hours: Continental Nights (2000 - 0800) Payrate: $19.63 / per hour (based on leveling system,) Internal Posting Date: July 22nd, 2026 Internal Closing Date: July 28th, 2026 External Closing Date: July 30th, 2026 Key Responsibilities: • Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site. • Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. • Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. • Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations. • Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures. • De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally. • Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns. • Collaboration with Hospital Staff: Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved. • Enforce Hospital Policies : Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed.
