About Mira
Mira is a San Francisco-based hormonal health company that's helped over 350,000 women test, track, and navigate their hormones, from fertility through perimenopause and everyday wellness. Our fluorescent hormone-testing technology is unique on the market: instead of a simple positive/negative line, it gives you a real, quantitative lab reading at home, validated against the gold-standard ultrasound and used in studies across 50+ universities and by 5,000+ healthcare professionals. We built Mira on one principle: personalized care backed by science, not guesswork.
About The Position
We're hiring a
Copy Lead
to own messaging architecture and copy — brand, campaign, product, and claims language — across Mira. Think scroll-stopping lines that make women fall in love with our brand. Catchy, scannable, and compliant language about the product — clear and purchase-driving. Your job is to build well structured and flexible messaging system for the team — copy libraries, style guides, training — that lets the rest of the team execute at that same bar, without you writing everything.
This is a new senior role on our creative team, created to give copy a dedicated owner as Mira scales. You'll report to our Creative Director and lead two copywriters — one focused on Paid Channels, one on Lifecycle.
Requirements
5+ years of copywriting experience, including senior or lead-level ownership of brand or campaign messaging.
Experience writing in a regulated or compliance-sensitive category (health, finance, wellness, or similar) is a strong plus.
Genuine copy craft — you write hooky, scroll-stopping lines that naturally touch people. Copy is scannable, human, and clear at a glance — never generic, vague, or overloaded.
Product marketing fluency — you naturally question the business goal behind each piece of copy, dig deep into product and persona research, and deliver the message that actually serves that goal.
Fluent with AI-assisted writing tools, but with a STRONG judgment to know what to keep, what to rewrite, and what to throw out.
A portfolio showing range across campaign, product, and multi-channel copy — not just one format.
Experience training, editing, or managing other writers.
Native English.
Nice-to-have: femtech or wellness background; prior experience managing writers directly.
Details
The role is a remote FT position with flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
Own messaging architecture and top-level copy for every major campaign and product launch.
Maintain strong, up-to-date brand and product copy — claims and core language — including ongoing experimentation in partnership with legal.
Build and maintain the team's copy libraries, style guides, and training materials — setting and evolving Mira's brand voice.
Edit, QA, and coach copywriters' and content team output to a single, consistent standard.
Manage and grow the two copywriters — day‑to‑day direction, performance, and hiring as the team scales.
Partner with the Creative Director on how copy and design work together within the broader creative system.
Flag and resolve repeating claims and compliance questions before legal review, escalating only what's new or genuinely ambiguous.
