In this role, you'll connect artists, community organizations, audiences, and stakeholders to deliver engaging performances, festivals, and events that enrich our community.
We're a team that believes how we work is just as important as the work we do. Grounded in our values - Own It, Team Up, Be Curious, and Service with Care - we're committed to delivering meaningful impact for our community while supporting each other along the way.
What you'll do
Bring high-quality entertainment experiences to life that inspire community connection and cultural engagement.

Create memorable event experiences by coordinating all aspects of production, ensuring seamless delivery for audiences, performers, and stakeholders.
Secure funding, sponsorships, and grant opportunities that enhance programming and support long-term sustainability.
Foster collaboration with local festivals, cultural groups, and community organizations to maximize impact and participation.
Contribute to the growth and vibrancy of Medicine Hat's arts and entertainment offerings through innovative programming and strategic planning.
Support departmental initiatives by coordinating resources, timelines, and project deliverables that advance organizational goals.
Drive awareness and attendance through collaborative marketing and promotional efforts.
Ensure responsible stewardship of public resources through effective budget planning, monitoring, and financial reconciliation.
A closer look at the role

You'll work closely with internal teams, including Marketing and Promotions, to tell the story of upcoming events and build audience engagement. As a trusted partner within the local and regional performing arts community, you'll serve as a key contact for cultural organizations, community presenters, and festival organizers, helping to strengthen relationships and create meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to experience arts, culture, and entertainment in Medicine Hat.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine creativity, relationship-building, project coordination, and strategic thinking while making a visible impact on the cultural vitality of the community.

The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and maintain flexibility in a dynamic event-based environment.
Knowledge and appreciation of a broad range of performing arts disciplines, including music, theatre, and dance.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on event and business needs.
Qualifications
Successful completion of a two (2) year diploma in arts or management or related area from a recognized post-secondary institution.
