Job DescriptionJob Description Controller Our client is based in the Burnaby Coquitlam area of the Lower Mainland. They are a manufacturing company and looking for a Controller to oversee their finance accounting team and department. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines. Manage all aspects of cost accounting Ensure accurate inventory accounting Coordinate the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. Coordinate annual financial audits Other as required Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilities. Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
