With the recent acquisitions and continued expansion across our group, we are currently looking for a Controller / Director of Finance who is both a technically sharp CPA and a veteran of complex consolidations.
Responsibilities
This is a highly demanding role and we are looking for a high output professional who can balance speed with precision. This person doesn't just manage data, they understand materiality and business intuition, allowing them to prioritize effectively in a heavy workload, fast paced environment. You will need to be a team player and willing to get into the weeds at the subsidiary level when the time crunch hits. You will be responsible for:
Overseeing public company financial reporting and ensure compliance with regulations.
Developing and implement financial strategies to support business growth.
Ensuring accurate and timely financial data for decision-making.
Ensuring high visibility of financial activities and results.
Leading audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Monitoring and analyzing financial performance metrics regularly.
Preparing budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
Providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Collaborating with teams to drive accountability and performance.
Identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Supporting due diligence process by coordinating reviews and mitigating transactional risks.
Supporting professional development initiatives within the finance team.
Experience/Qualifications
CPA designation
A solid understanding in public company audits (ideally prior experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firms i.e. MNP, Grant Thornton, BDO, Baker Tilley etc.)
A builder mindset, having successfully navigated or support ERP implementations
Prior M&A due diligence experience is a plus
Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance management.
Strong analytical skills to monitor and interpret financial performance metrics.
Experience in developing financial strategies for business growth.
Ability to prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams for performance improvement.
Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Experience in leading audits and working with external auditors.
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
