Construction Project Manager – Major Energy Retrofit & Infrastructure Projects
Opportunity Overview
This is an opportunity to lead large-scale, technically complex energy retrofit and infrastructure projects that support sustainability, energy efficiency, and decarbonization initiatives. The role provides hands-on leadership for the on-site delivery of multidisciplinary building upgrades across occupied and operational facilities, including HVAC, electrical, building automation, lighting, and renewable energy systems.
The successful candidate will serve as the senior on-site construction leader, overseeing all phases of project execution while coordinating multiple trades, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders. This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in complex retrofit projects, mechanical building systems, sustainability initiatives, and construction management.
Position Summary
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and energy performance objectives.
This role requires daily field leadership, close coordination with facility operations and project stakeholders, and proactive management of schedule, quality, safety, cost, and risk throughout construction.

Additional Responsibilities
Provide construction oversight across multiple project sites as required.
Travel to project locations when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Ability to obtain security clearance where required.
Minimum five (5) years of construction management or site supervision experience within commercial, institutional, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience managing:
Complex building or infrastructure retrofit projects
Energy efficiency or building modernization projects
Mechanical building systems
Building automation and controls
Proven experience supervising subcontractors across multiple construction disciplines.
Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, project scheduling, and safety practices.
Working knowledge of sustainability principles and energy-efficient building systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering public sector, institutional, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
